Texas Holdem is just about individuals and position. All experienced Holdem enthusiasts concur that position in no cap Texas Hold’em is critically important. Showing your hole cards in late spot might be a whole lot more profitable than in early poker spot. This is because a whole lot more data is gathered before acting.
i.e., I was playing a $1-$2 no limit money game at a local casino. I came in holding 2, 9 unsuited on the croupier button, just to see some action. Flop arrived A-A-4. An individual in early position made a fifteen dollar wager. 2 entrants drop out and it was my turn to act. I should have folded, but his action seemed a bit off. I read this guy as a weak-tight guy, and typically if he held the strongest hand he would simply check, so I called.
The turn showed with a 7, meaning it was a A-A-4-7. My opposer laid another bet of $20. I hesitated for a while, but decided to re-raise an additional $30thirty dollars on top of his $20. He folds and I won the money.
Betting at last position gives you an insight into where you sit by observing how players carry oneself and wager. On the other hand, people at early position might use their poker spot to check-raise the late seated antagonists and trap them later at the end. In Texas Hold’em, each spots, late and early should be bet cautiously.
